After providing a brief update on the latest Blender development, the presentation focuses on the controversial topic of “industry adoption”. Covering topics such as project organisation and governance, the viral GPL, Blender LTS (Long Term Support), commercial support, issue triaging, open source contribution best practices and funding, the presentation aims at raising awareness about less-known aspects of the Blender project, and start meaningful conversations about adopting and investing in the popular open source DCC.
